Delicious. My favorite in Corvallis, I love that their spicy dishes are actually spicy.
This is by far my favorite restaurant on the planet, the food is amazing, the people are great, great service, the food is unbelievably good! Highly recommend!!! Try the walnut shrimp, I would say the mooshu shrimp (hopefully I spelled that right) but I think they took it off the menu, that was the best plate of food I’ve ever had but the walnut shrimp is den one for sure, it’s amazing. I travel the country for work, I’ve ate at hundreds of places and this place is still my favorite out of them all!! This may be the second review I’ve done for them but I like it that much....
Highly recommend the tea smoked duck, crispy with lots of flavor and good for sharing! Also ordered the dan dan noodles and rice sesame ball soup for dessert.
Horrible experience. Painfully long wait times. Some of the food we ordered never arrived to our table. The food we did receive was not what we ordered. The entrees were served 30 minutes apart. The Hot and Sour soup that we ordered as an appetizer came out last and it was so over seasoned with white pepper that it was inedible. I feel like my tongue has a chemical burn. No explanation was offered by the staff for why the service took so long. Stay away from this establishment. I dislike leaving such a scathing review but Szechuan Cafe left me no choice. This restaurant is a train wreck.
Tastiest mapo tofu I’ve ever eaten!
I got a dry hotpot. It wasn’t super spicy but just right for good taste. Would be better if they include more veggies in the dry hotpot. Overall okay
Food was excellent! Authentic, fresh.Sounds like it's in the works, but the menu needs to be refined... Much fewer items on the menu with a couple pictures and descriptions of each dish would be really nice. Thanks!
Not just the best Chinese in Corvallis, really just the best Chinese I’ve had in Oregon. Let the friendly owner order for you, go spicy, smile : )
Maybe it's a dine in only establishment? Ordered Mongolian Beef and Shrimp with Vegetables to-go and both were completely bland. Shrimp had canned mushrooms and the Mongolian had no flavor except the overpowering taste of the chilies. It wasn't horrible, but just wasn't good either. With so many options for Asian cuisine in the area this is definitely a hard pass for any future meals.
A hidden gem in Corvallis!! Incredible authentic Chinese cuisine. We had never had anything like it before, and we were not disappointed. The people are very friendly and helpful as well. Would recommend!! We will be back again.
This is the worst Chinese restaurant in Corvallis. They changed the chef a month ago, and cooked the most horrible dishes. We used to love the dumpling there, but the meat in dumping went bad. You can tell from the smell. It made people sick. We will never go to that restaurant again.
Very unique dining experience and super authentic meals, though I'll admit I'm not an expert on this type of cuisine, and only have limited general knowledge from traveling through Asia for a while. That said the meal was delicious, I tried the house chicken in chili paste which was incredibly flavorful and spicy! Loved eating all the bits of meat right off the bones where the flavor resides 😁 just hoping they get some duck and other items back in stock soon, so there selections expanded again 🤗
It is the best Chinese restaurant in town, and the food reminds of my hometown. The food is REAL Chinese food!! Loved their mapo tofu and fish and Tiepan Chicken!! Hot pot is really good too.
If you thing General Tso’s chicken is awesome, this may not be the place for you. This is real authentic Szechuan food. We had the Cauliflower and mixed mushroom. It was spicy deliciousness. I’m from NYC, have spent a month in Szechuan Provence in China, and I can’t believe there is suck a good restaurant in this odd strip mall. Come and ear real Szechuan food. They do have a two page American Chinese food section in the back of the menu.
This restaurant is so authentic that you would be tempted to call ICE agents if you were not distracted by the excellent food. From spicy food that will make you cry and keep you up all night, to items you can't find many other places (hello, pig's ear), this restaurant will make you feel like you have taken a mini vacation to China. The staff top notch, the prices are reasonable, and the management loves feedback. Personally, I might update their restrooms, but the food can't be beat.
The staff smokes just outside the kitchen and makes the whole building stink. Then they touch your food. They think it's pretty funny that people continue to eat there.
